Alyssa Milano joins My Name is Earl for multiple episodes

Thursday, September 6th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Wow! Who’s the Boss? and Charmed actress Alyssa Milano has signed onto My name is Earl for a multiple episode run (at least 8 episodes)… as a serious love interest for Jason Lee!

My Name is Earl has tapped Alyssa Milano to join the cast as a love interest for Jason Lee — and a serious one at that. According to sources, the ex-sorceress is on board for a minimum of eight episodes. Earl meets Milano’s tough and quirky character through fellow inmate Frank (Michael Rapaport). The two bond and, through a bizarre twist of fate that harkens back to a seminal moment in Earl’s past, he ends up teaching her the ins-and-outs of karma (note: karma’s a euphamism for something dirtier here).

Not even sure what to say about this one, but I am not totally convinced she is the right casting choice for this one, no matter how much I love Alyssa Milano as an actress!

This is hysterical. Everyone’s favorite Coach Craig T. Nelson is joining the cast of My Name is Earl. And he is going to play a jail warden, no less! And yep, he will be the warden of Camden County Jail, where Earl is currently doing time. And he’s married to the governor, which will make the video-game-playing warden somewhat of a, well, interesting kind of warden!

Michael Rapaport joins My Name is Earl

Wednesday, July 25th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Michael Rapaport, best known for his role on The War at Home the past two seasons, has joined the cast of My Name is Earl to play an inmate.

Rapaport will have a recurring part on the NBC series in the coming season, playing an inmate in the jail where Earl (Jason Lee) is serving time. He’s also signed a development deal with 20th Century Fox TV, which produces the show.

“He is a TV star. He is one of the few guys out there that can carry a show, Sharon Klein, senior VP of casting at 20th TV, tells The Hollywood Reporter.

As part of the deal, the studio will develop a project, either comedy or drama, around Rapaport for the 2008-09 season. He could also be cast in one of the studio’s other pilots.

No word yet on what the development deal will be, but we will keep you posted!
